DamVent Benelux delivered advanced All-in-One hybrid DX air handling solutions for the temporary Central Sterilization Department (CSA) in Zwolle, the Netherlands.

Introduction:

For the temporary Central Sterilization Department (CSA) in Zwolle, DamVent Benelux has supplied two All-in-One hybrid DX air handling units (AHUs). These systems represent a forward-thinking, integrated solution that sets a new benchmark in air treatment for both temporary and permanent healthcare environments.

Project Overview:

DamVent Benelux provided two retrofit AHUs (max.e2-15), delivered and installed on-site. These units supply a reliable and efficient fresh air solution to the Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD). The renovated CSSD for Isala Hospital in Zwolle includes:

* Approximately 250 m² of new construction
* Renovation of an existing 1,000 m² facility
* A newly developed sterile storage area

Technical Challenge:

The CSSD environment includes high thermal loads due to sterilization and cleaning equipment, including:

* Four autoclaves
* Five washing machines
* One cart washing machine
* One low-temperature sterilizer

These systems generate significant heat and require precise control of indoor climate conditions, including temperature stability, humidity control, and air quality compliance.
